Public bug reported:
Kernel oups while apt-get upgrade in maverick daily build 2010.09.09.
Steps to reproduce:
1. using virtualbox-ose on ubuntu 10.04 as as host, start maverick: ubuntu-desktop-i386.iso (daily-live/20100909)
2. try ubuntu without installation / english
3. root at ubuntu:~# apt-get update
4. dpkg -l > pre.txt
5. root at ubuntu:~# apt-get upgrade
just after downloading new packages, you will see the crash icon in tray.
6. dpkg -l > post.txt
See $(diff pre.txt post.txt) from attachment to find packages which may did that.
My guess it this may be one of apt-* but not sure.
