Ubuntu 10.04. Latest Cups.

After upgrading Cups, system lost Epson Stylus DX7400 usb printer.

I tried to print text with Open Office, but print progress said that:
"maybe printer is offline". Printer is online and plugged to computer.
There is no broken parts anywhere. I removed the printer from Printing
and tried to re-install. But the system cannot find printer. Also lsub-
command slows down when printer is on. Dmesg-command suggest's that
maybe cable is broken. Printer works fine with windows.
