Public bug reported:
Maverick on Lenovo IdeaPad Y530
Hibernation normaly works in earlier Maverick and Lucid, but lately with a new install of Maverick it works only with gnome-screensaver installed. This was not necessary previously with Maverick or Lucid.
At boot after hibernation, all seems ok until X screens should appear,
apparently PC trying t execute screensaver which I deleted. No problems
alt-ctl-f1 to reboot from there.
There is lots of other stuff I would like to delete (never wanted and
would never use) but resulting in major problems, This should not be,
sw performing different functions should not cross bounderies, such as,
e.g., TIME should not require WEATHER, they should be completely
separate functions. GNOME is getting TOO big, if we do not want a
function we should be able to delete it.
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
