I can still reproduce the bug with 2.6.35-19. The workaround mentioned
by Ryan works fine here (ASUS P81IJ). I applied it by editing
/etc/default/grub and changed the line which says:

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
to:
  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi_osi='\"!Windows 2009\"'"

And ran update-grub
