I can reproduce this Bug with Ubuntu 10.04.1+updates on a ASUS N90Sc
Notebook.

apport-collect -p linux 539599 does not work for me.

When these Message appears, no Ethernet traffic is possible but all
Gnome Programs are still in "online" Mode which produces lots of Error
messages (timeouts, host not found....)

HowTo get it working again: in Gnome NetworkManager dis- and enable
Networking.

My dmesg is attached. (dmesg_asusn90sc.txt)

** Attachment added: "dmesg after error appears and restarted networkung"
