[Bug 627759] [NEW] open url from gnome-terminal crashes kernel

Public bug reported:

WIth google-chrome as default browser, when I right-click a link in
gnome-terminal and select "open link", a new tab opens in chrome and the
computer completely freezes.  No magic sysrq.

Although I can only reproduce this with google-chrome as default
browser, I did observe a total lock up once when opening firefox.

Filing against kernel because a userland program should not be crashing
the kernel.

Assuming this bug will have enough diagnostics attached.
