Public bug reported:

The topic says it all: I'm unable to install 10.04 on a HP 460c G6 blade
unless I use the release kernel. The newer ones that I had or was able
to get (2.6.32-25.44, 2.6.32-24.38) were buggy and gave me that error:

Oct 27 07:43:20 kernel: [ 1474.884989] cciss: Unknown symbol
compat_alloc_user_space

which means that the installation fails with "no root file system
defined" -error, and this is a regression.
