I have a Biostar BIOS and was getting this error installing 10.10. ISO
was OK and memory was OK.
BIOS IDE settings were "Enhanced" and I changed to "Sata Only" (no
"compatible" option). Is that the same as choosing "compatible"? Strange
since the description seems to indicate that the problem occurs when it
is set to "Enhanced" or "SATA Only", but clearly in my case choosing
"SATA only" fixed it.
