[Bug 664442] [NEW] opengl total freeze ubuntu 10.10 ATI X700

Crash while running 3D graphics applications (Google Earth, Extreme Tux Racer) on ATI Radeon mobile X700:
Complete system lockup, hard reset only.

After installing 10.10 all was okay. Google earth worked fine.
Firs freeze was on Extreme Tux Racer. I thought that was its problem. 
Game was uninstalled. But the're freezes now.

Maybe Tux Racer has modified some parameters? Can it be fixed without
system reinstall?
