I just built the ubuntu kernel 2.6.35-22-powerpc64-smp from source only
changing config.common.ports: CONFIG_SCSI_IPR=m and had no build
failures.  Not sure what was seen on 5-12, but I think the "temporarily"
part was forgotten and CONFIG_SCSI_IPR needs to be turned back on.
