Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick)
Kernel 2.6.35-22.34

At boot time I always have the following error:

Intel ips 0000:00:1f.6: failed to get i915 symbols, graphics turbo
disabled

this is because i915 kernel module isn't loaded yet.
After boot, if I manually unload and reload the module

sudo rmmod intel_ips
sudo insmod kernel/drivers/platform/x86/intel_ips.ko

I still got
intel ips 0000:00:1f.6: Warning: CPU TDP doesn't match expected value (found 25, expected 35)

but no other errors about turbo graphics.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
