Bug #624695 has some of the log files that you are looking for i think.
I remember uploading those based on the guidelines.

** Description changed:
I read somewhere that different configurations/ GRUB boot options are
passed by default depending on the hardware (something to do with a DMI
list) e.g. i8042.noloop or similar is passed for laptop class machines
but not desktop.
Anyway, the discussion seems to be centered around input devices having
problems being recognised/used.
So I'd like this machine to be added to the list of notebooks.
Gigabye M1305 Notebook
13.3" 1366x768 display
Intel SU2300 ULV processor
not sure what else to include here.
Problems/teething trouble experienced when ubuntu maverick 64-bit is installed:
1. Touchpad is not recongized. fixed by adding i8042.noloop option.
2. sometimes key characters continue repeating even if the key is nor pressed down. it is more of a problem when typing in web addresses because then suddenly the character pressed starts repeating and only stops when another character is pressed. it might also be fixable by a grub option but I am not sure what to try.
That's about it. can provide more info as requested.
Thanks!
