[Bug 659283] [NEW] Hibernate and resume incredibly slow

While Hibernate and suspend work on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525n with
Ubuntu preinstalled -- came with gusty gibbon and now runs lucid lynx),
hibernate is incredibly -- painfully -- slow. While strides have been
made in speeding up the boot times, the resume from hibernate still
lags.

Could this process be speeded up?
