Public bug reported:

Wireless network fails to connect after upgrade from Lucid to Maverick.
This appears similar to 	
#594866 [Maverick][2.6.35] RT2860 (ralink) support seems to be broken (it fails to connect to secured wireless networks)
however,I have tried setting WAP to be completely open (has no security) and the problem persists.
