[Bug 661733] [NEW] Boot failure (flashing screen)

Hello,

I installed Ubuntu 10.10 last night, the installation worked fine, but
when I try to boot the system there only pops up a flashing screen with
vertical lines. I it hadnt to do with Ubuntu I would have thought that
my graphic card broke.
