Mainline kernel installed (2.6.36-020636rc8-generic #201010150908),
tested, and executed apport-collect.

Unfortunately the card reader is still unrecognized.

  Nothing happens inseriting SDHC and xD cards on card reader (Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Device 5288 (rev 01)). It seems there are some driver issue[1] with this controller or maybe it's simply currently unsupported by linux kernel.
  Note this card reader controller could be available on other laptops, so this bug could be a duplicate.
