Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image

Hello,

while working at least roughly in 10.04 lucid, the "omnibook" module
provided with maverick kernels is defective, causes a memory fault when
forced to load on startup or a blocking modprobe when trying to be
inserted manually.

Caused by this, the media keys on HP omnibook laptops as the XE3-GC, in
my case, don't work at all (compared to full function with the lucid
kernels). Only the volume buttons work currently.

Please fix this module to work with the provided kernels for maverick
10.10.
