Got exactly this on my thinkpad x41. Unable to install netbook, desktop, alternate 10.10, 10.04. The error loop runs a while, then the system hangs up completely. Unable to get a live system running through this bug, only when removing the harddisk i can live boot to a desktop.
Cannot give logs cause with harddrive everything crashes, without harddisk there are no errors.
