Same with a Latitude E6510 (i3, intel gpu, fhd display) that shipped
with Ubuntu (9.10) from Dell. The same happens with other distributions
of course. But patching a vanilla 2.6.36-rc6 kernel with:

solves --at least temporarily-- the problem.
