[Bug 659523] [NEW] oss4 doesn't produce working /dev/mixer, doesn't play sound

Public bug reported:

I am on a Geode LX system with CS5536 audio chipset. Using 2.6.32 in
Lucid, OSS4 worked great. With 2.6.35 in Maverick, the modules load, no
errors are produced besides a warning that my feeble hardware is
incapable of mixing multiple audio streams, but no OSS4 audio. I had the
same error/warning in 2.6.32, but had working audio.

As per the forums, other people on other architectures are merrily using
OSS4 on Maverick. I have thus deduced the issue to be CS5536 specific,
in the 2.6.36 kernel. I don't know if it is Ubuntu-patch related or
2.6.35 mainline related.
