you could try ~/.wine/drive_c/DRIVERS/GOBI/Images/Lenovo/8/UQCN.mbn

There are different providers listed at
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Talk:Qualcomm_Gobi_2000

Do a tail -f /var/log/syslog, and modem-manager should give some output
when it tries to connect.
