[Bug 657997] [NEW] upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10

Public bug reported:

while trying to upgrade my system to Ubuntu 10.10, this error showed up:

Another error was not enough space on the drive although there is just
under 190 Gigs free.

Anoteher error was 'can't retrieve packages..' or something to that
effect. I checked the network and there was good connection.

None of the failures started the bug reporting function. I have another
system which also failed and reported this under bug #657882.

Upgrades werre initiated from the update manager program.
