[Bug 657338] [NEW] Special function keys and lid events don't work after first suspend/resume

Public bug reported:

I'm using Maverick RC on a Dell Studio 1458 laptop with Intel core I3
M330 CPU.

After initial boot, everything is working great: special keys (sound,
brightness, etc.,) are working and laptop suspend automatically upon lid
close and will resume when I open the lid.  The problem appears after
this first resume: suspend upon lid closing is not working and all
special functions keys are not working neither.

I've tried to restart apcid (sudo service acpid restart), without
success.

Any idea someone?
