[Bug 656631] [NEW] resume from suspend does not initialize the display on 2.6.35 kernel

Public bug reported:

Since upgrading to maverick, many people have reported being unable to
resume from a suspended state.

Steps to reproduce:

Install Maverick.
Suspend.
Resume.
Notice that the resume worked except that video fails to initialize. Key strokes still work. You can CTRL-ALT-DELETE, for example.
