Previously I had suspend working fine.  On top of the base Ubuntu 10.04
install I needed to add nomodeset nohz=off highres=off to my boot kernel
parameters to avoid failed suspend / very slow bootup (15mins).  This is

Since installing the 10.10 release candidate however, I have found that
suspend does not work.  It closes all the GUIs and goes to a black
screen, but does not shut down and continues using full power.
