[Bug 655868] [NEW] FTDI based USB to serial adapter no longer works

Public bug reported:

FTDI based USB to serial adapter now generates errors in dmesg
("ftdi_sio ttyUSB0: Unable to write latency timer: -32") and fails to
properly utilize data control lines.  Previous kernel (2.6.32-24) worked
properly.
