I am using latest Maverick kernel, ie 2.6.35-22-generic.

I removed linux-backports-modules-wireless package (ie compat-wireless
as packaged in Ubuntu). Then I have downloaded compat-
wireless-2010-09-12 from http://www.orbit-lab.org/kernel/compat-
wireless-2.6/.

Then I did :

./scripts/driver-select ath9k

(as some parts of compat wireless were not compiling, but ath9k works
just fine).

then make, sudo make install.

modinfo ath9k gives me :
