Since I update to Maverick my Wifi is unusable (really!) slow. It worked
fine on Lucid. I know this might be a wl driver issue, but according the
packages.ubuntu.com the driver is the same on Lucid and Maverick.
Here what I tried (found in forums):
1. iwconfig eth1 set power off
-> improves the situation, but only partly. Without this I get download rates < 10k/s. After this command the download rates (e.g. in ktorrent) steadily change from < 10k/s to > 900k/s *and back*. Up and down the whole time.
2. Recompiling the kernel and without "CONFIG_CFG80211_DEFAULT_PS".
-> No change.
This is an unfortunate regression from Lucid and I really hope it can be
fixed.
