I can confirm that http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.34-lucid SOLVES the problem.

Also, Maverick doesn't solve this problem (with  2.6.35kernel).

It would be lovely if you put those changes on the .35 kernel.
