Kernel linux-image-2.6.37-020637rc1-generic also boots to a blank
screen. Using this kernel, I *cannot* get to X by pressing CTRL+ALT+F1
followed by CTRL+ALT+F7 (unlike the 2.6.36 kernels).

Hardware: DELL Latitude E6510, Intel integrated graphics, core i7, full
HD display.
