Public bug reported:

Upgrading my Ubuntu Netbook Installation 10.4 produced this error with
a prompt to report this bug. No idea how far the updates have been
installed but assume the failure occurred because of my including the
Grub installation during the upgrading. Assume also that that the update
manager did not find or would not update my USB CD ROM that I use for
booting and could not update it.The device was not in the options list
that were displayed for inclusion in Grub updating. However the error
message read:package linux-image generic 2.6.32.22 not configured
