I was also affected by the problem, having a HP Pavilion HDX9200
notebook. Actually, I was able to boot but I had to specify the
following kernel parameter at boot time: acpi=no_irq. The webcam was not
working any longer with this parameter.

The kernel proposed by Chase Douglas solved the problem. I'm now able to
boot.
