Hi, Filing a bug as this is regressive behaviour from 9.10.

Suspend-Resume worked fine on my Dell Studio 1555 in 9.10 (apart from
the odd resume leading to thrashing, which is apparently a known issue -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/391628 ).

Resume now comes back to blank screen.  I have feeling that this was a
bug that was apparent at the early stages of 9.10 where the resume is
actually succesful - apart from the screen turning back on.  This was
fixed in some upgrade of 9.10.  I now see it in lucid.

For instance, I cannot see an error in the awake cycle of /var/log/pm-
suspend.log yet all I have is a blank screen.

When I first installed lucid laptop would not suspend at all - as
outlined in this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/526354  I am
therefore running kernel / fglrx / pm-utils from lucid-proposed.

Suspend/Resume is key functionality and while I recognise there is
little that can be done without dropping fglrx (which has it's own
issues) - this was working and now it's not.
