Is this in the Update Manager list? I foolishly installed the first
kernel update _from the channel_ once I had Lucid installed. (I had used
Ricardo Salvetri's patched kernel to get online). After installing this
update and rebooting, it was back to the *same problem* of being asked
again and again for the password.

As a test, I installed the 2.6.33-3 kernel and no more connection worries.
