Just switch to plain Debian 5.04 to Kubuntu to give it a try. Never had this problem before. Now I am getting disconnected all the time when I DL files.
When I connect through VPNC to my work network, I can only surf the work network, always time out when I tried to surf the web. Was working before.

wil switch back to Debian.
