Hi Jeremy...
Well I've try my best to follow the instructions in "https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds" and  down loaded  "linux-headers-2.6.34-999-generic_2.6.34-999.201005041005_i386.deb"
I've attempted to follow instructions.....>>>
Terminal readout as follows..>>>

thelaidlaws3 at thelaidlaws3-laptop:~$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb
[sudo] password for thelaidlaws3: 
dpkg: error processing *.deb (--install):
 cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
 *.deb

I think I'm doing something very wrong...!!!
I'm in need of an "Idiots Guide" on this one... I'm a bit new to Ubuntu... Sorry
