Public bug reported:

I recent upgrade my system from 9.10 to 10.04. I'm using the old kernel
to report this lines. When I'm upgrading trough Update Manager (it took
about 4 hours but yet i don't know) i leave alone in the process, when i
return i found a black screen and i think that is the screen saver, when
i move the pad and press some key and doesn't have response i press alt
+ ctrl + f1 to get the tty without responce then press ctrl + alt + del
and again no response then i made a hard off, pressing the power bottom
and restart it, when the grub load i found 4 kernels that is ...-14,
...-20, ...-21 and ...-21 i select the first one ...-21 but only gets
black screen, then trying one by one trough, and get that -20 boot but
without mousepad and the old and new boot splash.
