Hi Jeremy,

Actually I don't know right now how to test it, because I already update the distribution from karmic to lucid, just changing the code as describe before.
I don't think it's a kernel problem just a python script issue.
If you need the apport-collect I'll do it but It will be done with the lucid distro and not with karmic.
