Dear Jeremy,

I've first tried the normal route via the update-manager to upgrade to
10.04. This hangs the update-manager without any info and I have to
force-quit. I've done the same starting from the console 'update-
manager' and the '-d' option as well, but to no avail. Then I
donwnloaded the amd64 ISO image, which I burned. I boot from that via
REFIT, but it stops the CD drive after 1 minute with only a flashing
cursor in the upper left corner. Then I tried 'do-release-upgrade' from
the command-line (when running 9.10 again) and this gives me "Checking
for new ubuntu release", then nothing! When I cntrl-c I get the output
below

I've done regular updates of the 9.10 packages, so I'm pretty sure
proxies and sources are fine. I can't find any debug info in /var/log
either.
