[Bug 574321] [NEW] Ati x1270 corrupt screen

Public bug reported:

Hi!

After a new fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 RC or Final version i get a
very corrupted screen everytime i open Firefox and navigate around a
bit. It also randomly happens with other applications.

Reverted back to Ubuntu 9.10 and it works great so it's not a hardware
malfunction.

Added a screenhot with the distorted display.
