Sorry, I started the bug report tool from firefox, since I cannot do it
from the grub prompt. And ubuntu-bug at the command line did not work
properly.
My Kernel has release 2.6.32-21-generic. The lspci output for the
graphic chip is:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY
Subsystem: Compaq Computer Corporation Device 00b4
Flags: bus master, stepping, 66MHz, medium devsel, latency 66, IRQ 11
Memory at 48000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
I/O ports at 3000 [size=256]
Memory at 40400000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at 40420000 [disabled] [size=128K]
Capabilities: [58] AGP version 2.0
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2
Kernel modules: radeonfb, radeon
I do not have an xorg.conf (everything auto-detected fine as it should),
but I also tried with such a file and played a lot with all the
available options. But all that did not help until I disabled KMS.
