I can confirm I too have the same problem. "mmc0: Unknown controller
version (2). You may experience problems. " Message is visible in dmesg
log and at bootup.

Fresh 10.04 64bit install on a Dell Vostro 1520. My card reader worked
with 9.10, and recognised my Sony m2 card via the adapter... but won't
with 10.04.
