You have been subscribed to a public bug:

The screen on my Toshiba Satellite A350-20S flickers with tiny pink
streaks as soon as the splash screen loads on boot-up, and will not stop
until the machine is turned off.

If radeon.new_pll=0 is added to the end of the quiet splash line by
editing at the kernel command line (or by configuring grub), this
problem does not occur.

I have just upgraded from Karmic to Lucid via Update Manager.... this
didn't occur in Karmic.

lsb_release -rd:
Description:	Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release:	10.04

kernel release: 2.6.32-17-generic

lspci | grep VGA:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
