[Bug 539020] Re: Lucid Beta 1 installation CD gives blank screen and freezes

I've been experiencing this bug also with the release beta, and the past
3 daily builds.

It seems that the only place that this bug can originate from is
xsplash, so can I ask why this is not tied to that project? I saw there
was discussion about the inappropriate 'affects', but surely when the
problem occurs with the splash boot option but doesnt without the
splash, it must be a xsplash issue?

(new to bug reporting, any information that would make it easier, let me
know)
