[Bug 546406] Re: update-initramfs Can't open /scripts/functions

I ran "apt-get dist-upgrade" again and it finished without an error, but
it did not add kernel 2.6.32-17-generic to grub. I updated grub/menu.lst
manually, but when it boots it never gets past the splash screen with
the five dots.
