Public bug reported:

AMD64 machine with Nvidia card hibernates successfully but on resuming,
says "resuming from disk uuid=(correct partition)" and pauses for about
20 seconds and then fails and goes through a normal boot. I have a
clean install of Karmic on another partition and that resumes as
expected (with the same swap partition).

uname -a
Linux dreamland 2.6.32-16-generic #25-Ubuntu SMP Tue Mar 9 16:33:12 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

cat /proc/version_signature
Ubuntu 2.6.32-16.25-generic

cat /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume
RESUME=UUID=5f6cb22a-fa72-4da7-b14e-53e39d9bf153

cat /etc/fstab | grep swap
/dev/sdc2       none            swap    sw              0       0

ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/ | grep sdc2

from dmesg on failed resume:
