Since upgrading to the 2.6.31-20-generic kernel on my Lenovo Thinkpad
X61s, one core of the CPU is spiking approximately every 3 seconds.  Top
indicates the process that is spiking the CPU is "events/0".  This did
not occur prior to the 2.6.31-20-generic upgrade.
