[Bug 534254] [NEW] presario cq36 113tx black screen after ubuntu boots fresh install

Public bug reported:

i've been trying to install the latest stable release of ubuntu onto my
brand new laptop, sadly ubuntu live cd would not give me a desktop, so i
installed the server edition, i got so far as getting it installed onto
the disk, when i tried to boot into the new ubuntu install, i was
greeted with a black display but with the backlight still turned on.

this laptop has 2 graphics cards in it sharing the same lcd display. 1
intergrated graphics card (i5 core) and a discrete graphics card (ati
HD 4550)
