The bug is the same as bug #326205, but it must be a new bug since the
mentioned bug is fixed.
There are sound glitches in the Karmic (Gnome) login sound, but apart
from that everything is fine. I have not experienced this problem on any
other version of Ubuntu. Login sound worked fine in Jaunty, so this is
not a hardware problem.
