I still have this problem in Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 alpha 1. I suspect
it's related to my video card, an ATI Radeon Xpress 200m. There's a
related bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-
video-ati/+bug/577340 "[RC410] Xpress 200M hangs when resuming from
suspend with DRI, with or without KMS" that I've also subscribed to.
